Santa Cruz County Mock Trial
Dana Scruggs was a long-time coach in the Santa Cruz Mock Trial program both at Harbor High and Soquel High, and the other members of CSF&W have served as judges for the County Mock Trial. CSF&W continues to support the Mock Trial program as one of the most valuable, hands on academic activities for local high school students. Learn more about the program»
Santa Cruz County Trial Lawyers Association
All the CSF&W lawyers have been long-time members of SCCTLA. Dana Scruggs, David Fulton and Laura Walther (thrice!) has been president of the organization which supports the community and legal system in a number of ways, including sponsoring the long-standing “cookie caper” trial for thousands of fifth grade students throughout the County. SCCTLA also provides financial support to the high school mock trial programs and Senior Citizens Legal Services which assists the elderly in our community with their acute legal problems. David Fulton has been a CASA mentor, is President of the CASA Board of Directors, and members of CSF&W have been supporters of CASA since its inception. Survivor’s Healing Center
Dana Scruggs was a long-time board member of Survivor’s Healing Center, and CSF&W provides regular financial support to this unique organization. Survivor’s Healing Center was one of the first non-profits in the country to recognize the needs of adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse as they confront and overcome the emotional impact which a child sexually abused can have. SHC has strong mission of protecting children and preventing sexual abuse, as well as supporting survivors with therapy groups and a multitude of other resources. Learn more about the program»

This group is dedicated towards the preservation of Monterey Bay’s sanctuaries by advocating awareness of plastic pollution, clean boating and volunteering. Learn more about the program here.»
